A new café is opening in Broadmead. Signage has revealed that Bristol-based brand Hatter House Cafe will launch a second branch in the vacant retail unit on the corner of Broadmead and Union Street.

The Hatter House Cafe is known for its range of lattes, comprising different flavours including the ‘Iced Spanish Latte’, savoury options and hand-crafted snacks. It currently has a branch on Clare Street where graffiti by Nick Walker is showcased on the walls.

The café brand will take over the former Pret A Manger space. It is unknown when it will open.

The former Pret was one of a number of stores that had windows smashed in a series of incidents within the city centre in September. It eventually closed in the following weeks.

The area near Clare Street has become Bristol’s newest foodie hotspot as the street corner of Baldwin Street and Broad Quay has become home to various cafes, restaurants and the likes of an arcade bar and florist. Being located close to the Bristol Hippodrome and a walking distance away from Castle Park, the Hatter House Cafe will be located at two popular spots within the city centre.
