Black Friday is nearly upon us, and retailers are already slashing prices on a plethora of products before the event officially kicks off. If you’re in the market for a new tablet and have some cash to splash, Amazon has dropped the price of the Apple iPad to an all-time low.
Currently, you can snag it for £449, down from £479, which is one of the lowest prices ever, as tracked by CamelCamelCamel.
Although it’s not the latest model, the 10th generation iPad still holds its own, particularly for Apple enthusiasts who aren’t looking to spend a small fortune. It boasts 64GB of storage, an 11-inch screen, and a swift A14 bionic chip, ensuring smooth performance across tasks. Plus, it features dual 12MP cameras for clear communication and crisp selfies.

Our sister paper the Daily Express gave a glowing review of the iPad 10th gen in 2022 after it earned four out of five stars. Tech expert David Snelling commented: “We used the new iPad for almost a week and there’s no doubt that this is a very nice device. It looks great, has a stunning 10.9-inch edge-to-edge display, improved cameras that now keep you in shot when making video calls and there’s very long battery life.”
“You also get a USB-C charger in the box, decent speakers and speedy Wi-Fi 6 technology for much faster downloads. Alongside the tablet, Apple has launched a nice new keyboard case for the iPad which gets full function keys and a nifty design that makes it perfect for work and play.”
“Had this new tablet fully replaced the older iPad 9th Gen at a similar price we wouldn’t be scratching our heads. But with that device still on sale and the more impressive iPad Air just £169 more, consumers are going to need to do a serious amount of homework before making their next choice.”
However, it isn’t the newest iPad on the market so you might want to consider that when buying it. It’s also a pretty big chunk of cash when it comes to a tablet when you could save a bit more steering away from the Apple brand.
There’s also other alternatives for you to jump on. If you fancy spending a bit more, Argos is selling a Lenovo M10 tablet for £120 right here.
