Ruud van Nistelrooy, David Moyes and Graham Potter are all candidates for the Leicester job following their decision to sack Steve Cooper on Sunday.
Cooper has been relieved of his duties at the King Power Stadium just 24 hours after his side lost 2-1 to Chelsea.
That result means the Foxes have won just two of their four matches so far.
And Cooper, who was appointed following the departure of Enzo Maresca to Chelsea back in the summer, has now paid the price.

Leicester confirmed the departure of the Englishman on Sunday.
A statement released on their website said: “Leicester City Football Club has parted company with Steve Cooper, who leaves his position as First Team Manager with immediate effect.
“Assistant Manager Alan Tate and First Team Coach and Analyst Steve Rands have also left the Club.
“Steve, Alan and Steve depart with our thanks for their contribution during their time with the Club and with our best wishes for the future.
“Men’s First Team training will be overseen by First Team Coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the Club begins the process of appointing a new manager, which we hope to conclude as soon as possible.”
When it comes to the frontrunners to take over, three names are in the frame.
One is Van Nistelrooy, who recently left Manchester United after temporarily taking charge of the side following the sacking of Erik ten Hag.
Many fans of the Red Devils had hoped the Dutchman would be retained by Ruben Amorim given everything he achieved as a player at Old Trafford.

Yet Amorim decided to cut Van Nistelrooy loose.
He is now expected to pursue a job in English football and Leicester would represent a good opportunity to show what he can do.
Potter is set to be under consideration, too.
The former Brighton and Swansea boss has been out of work ever since being dismissed by Chelsea back in April 2023.

And with Potter known for his teams playing attacking football, it’s possible Leicester will initiate contact.
A third name being mooted is Moyes.
The Scot hasn’t taken a job on since leaving West Ham back in the summer, with the Hammers toiling in the time since.
Though Moyes wouldn’t represent a young or exciting appointment, his work in the Premier League speaks for itself and his nous could be vital as the Foxes look to beat the drop.

Meanwhile, Cooper hit out at the officiating after Leicester lost to Chelsea on Saturday.
He said: “We’ve had some terrible luck with this referee. That’s continued today.
“There’s also the game to talk about. Tough first half in terms of Chelsea territory and dominance with the ball. We gave away a poor goal. It should have been 0-0. We had two good chances ourselves in the first half.
“Defensively we were generally OK. We need to be showing good courage and belief. If we do that we can create chances and be a threat. We’ll always be disappointed with the goals we conceded.”
