Princess Kate has invited children who survived the Southport stabbing attack to her Christmas carol concert after their meeting in October.

The Princess of Wales surprised the victims’ families when she accompanied Prince William for her first public engagement since completing chemotherapy.

They pair privately met with the families of the three girls who tragically died following the mass stabbing at a Talyor Swift-themed dance class on July 29.

The mother-of-three reportedly invited the grieving families and children to her fourth Together At Christmas carol service, which will be held at Westminster Abbey on December 6.

Kensington Palace announced that the service would go ahead at the start of November.

It is the future Queen’s first time attending the major festive event since she completed her chemotherapy treatment.

She hopes to “shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities”.

A source said: “The Royal Family have been a tremendous support to the families.

“The King met the survivors, then Kate took time out to meet them in private last month with Prince William.

The source told the Sun: “Now she has personally ensured everyone is invited to her concert which, this year, will mean more to her than ever before.

“It promises to be an incredible, life-affirming night and there’s been a lot of organisations involved to get it all ready.”

Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine were killed and 10 others were injured.

In August, King Charles greeted community members as he shook hands with people outside of the Town Hall and reacted to the hundreds of flowers and tributes left by locals.

They added: “The families have met the King, met Taylor Swift, and now this wonderful concert — but it is all unbearably tinged with the trauma they are still dealing with.

“It has been a horrendous time for them and none of the children or the adults who were in that room will ever be the same again.”

The King also met representatives from Merseyside’s emergency services and local community groups.

King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William are all expected to join the Princess of Wales and other Royal Family members at the concert, which will be aired on ITV on Christmas Eve.

It is understood that a decision on whether Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, will attend will be made closer to the time.
