The Charity Commission is looking at whether concerns raised about a closed Bristol charity need further investigation. Re:work, based in Knowle West, ceased operations in October due to long-term financial issues.

The Charity Commission says anyone with concerns is urged to submit them. A commission spokesperson said: “Concerns have been raised with us about Re:Work Ltd.

“We are currently assessing information available to us to determine if there is a role for the commission. We have guidance on gov.uk to help any trustees who make the difficult decision to close their charity.”

A statement on the Re:work website states: “As a result of long-term financial issues, Re:work has been formally advised to cease operations from October 31. Discussions are ongoing about our legacy and we will make further announcements as and when we are advised we are able to. Thank you for your support and understanding.”
