Veteran Toronto rock band Our Lady Peace leads the first group of 2025 inductees for Canada’s Walk of Fame
Also being honoured next year are instrumental guitarist Liona Boyd, golfer Mike Weir, actress-producer-Reel World film festival founder Tonya Williams, cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Tirone David, and War Child Canada founder/president Dr. Samantha Nutt.
“It is a thrill to announce this first group of extraordinary Canadians,” said Jeffrey Latimer, CEO of Canada’s Walk of Fame, in a statement.
“Just as their stars will be permanently cemented along Canada’s Walk of Fame, so to has their impact been cemented into the very fabric of the lives and the communities they’ve touched, both in Canada and around the world.”
Canada’s Walk of Fame’s annual awards show and gala celebration event will take place on June 14, 2025 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The awards show and gala celebration honours outstanding Canadians for their exceptional achievements and contributions and additional 2025 inductees will be revealed in the new year.
The six newly announced inductees will join the ranks of more than 230 esteemed Canadians commemorated on Canada’s Walk of Fame.
