Next is selling a beauty box filled with high-end skincare products for only £20. The gift set is worth £118, but shoppers can grab it for £98 less.

The retailer’s SOS Skincare Edit: Beauty Box is a great, affordable and luxurious Christmas gift idea. Three different types of boxes, all £20, are available – including anti-ageing, blemish, and radiance boxes.

The £20 anti-ageing box is filled with six different high-end skincare products from some of the biggest brands in the beauty industry, such as Pixi, Dermalogica, Emma Hardie and Espa. The box contains:

  • Emma Hardie Moringa Balm 15ml, Travel Size (worth £10)
  • Dermalogica Porescreen SPF40 30ml, Full Size (worth £55)
  • This Works Deep sleep retinol 5% face serum 10ml, Deluxe Sample

The £20 Blemish SOS Skincare Edit Beauty Box contains six products from Ordinary, Dr Hauschka, Beautypro, Omorovicza, Korres, and Dermalogica. Together, they target pimple-prone skin and are brimming with topical ingredients, including salicylic and azelaic acids, which are known for their power properties.

Next isn’t the only retailer selling beauty boxes and skincare gift sets. Other alternatives you can browse through in the run-up to Black Friday and Christmas include Debenhams’ Erth Skin London Glow-Boosting and Collagen Protection Set, which has been reduced from £229 to just £40.37.

Debenhams shoppers can also get Elizabeth Arden’s Twist and Lift Quartet 4-Piece Gift Set at a discount price, as it was £78 but is now £46.80. Boots is offering a Glam and Glowing Luxury Beauty Christmas Bauble for £20, and ASOS’s Gift Of Skincare Bag 2024 is available for £25 – down from £90.

Beauty Bay’s Mystery Box contains products that are worth £94, but customers only need to spend £29.95 to enjoy them. Amazon’s top best-seller in makeup sets, Revolution Beauty’s 24-Piece Holiday Beauty Advent Calendar, is currently half price at £24.

Meanwhile, Marks and Spencer has launched a new Wellness Bag, loaded with nine Apothecary products for £25 – down from £50. Amazon is selling Elf’s SkinHydrated Ever After Skincare Mini Kit for £20.

In the reviews, Rose said: “Got this for my Daughter as the love elf makeup and excellent value for money would recommend it to anyone.” Tezza added: “I bought this as a gift for a friend and she told me it was so nice and her skin felt soft and gentle.” Lyn typed: “Great purchase, easy to use, feels great.£

However, some people had an issue with the set’s size. Kat wrote: “So tiny! I saw a photo in the reviews and thought it was the normal size you get for the eye cream when they complained it was small but it was the face cream I saw, the eye cream you get in this is a thimble. I only got it for the eye cream really, just wanted to test the other products but doubt I’ll get much out of them.”

Another said: “Brought this for my daughter and wasn’t worth £20 so tiny I would of expected to pay at least £10.” A third put: “Thought the product wouldve been a lot bigger, would recommend just getting the items separately.”
