Former Love Island star Maura Higgins and television personality Reverend Richard Coles are set to enter the jungle in tomorrow night’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

The pair – who have long been tipped to be late entries to the ITV series, will make their debut on Thursday night’s episode, with their appearance teased at the end of Wednesday’s episode. They will also be stationed in a secret camp away from their fellow celebrities.

Higgins previously confused her fans after she uploaded an Instagram story of a plane on the social media website, but later revealed she had jetted to Las Vegas – not the outback.

However, before they are joined by their new entries, the campmates had to deal with a soggy issue after they woke up to rainfall, with journalist Jane Moore remarking “Everything at the moment is just a little bit soggy.”

McFly singer Danny Jones then had a confession for his fellow campmates, as he told them, “Since it’s rained I’ve not washed. Don’t fight it, just stink! What do spiders do? They don’t get up and shower, do they? They just go: ‘I’m gonna go out for the day.’”

Strictly star Oti revealed in the Bush Telegraph, “It’s so cold and it’s so rainy that people are not showering and we are all stinking up that camp right now, it’s disgusting and I smell horrendous!” But it seemed one campmate determined to keep clean was Coleen, as she admitted, “I am the only one in camp that showers!”

It also seemed that, as well as not washing, Danny had another confession: “I’ve not changed my boxers that I had a snake on…”

But TikToker GK Barry shared some advice for the singer and informed him: “Before you go back to your wife, you’re gonna need to disinfect!”

As GK and DJ Dean McCullough discussed that they might have a bath, Danny revealed about McFly, “We have a communal little shower or bath after a gig.”

Excited by the news, Dean had said, “Make sure you set those tickets up for me, I’ll be right there!”

Later in the Bush Telegraph, he joked, “Danny Jones, Danny Jones! I definitely want those tickets to your tour next year and it’s going to have to be access all areas now.”

Despite the damp camp, spirits were high that morning for Oti, who mock auditioned for Danny Jones as if she were on The Voice UK, singing at the top of her lungs and asking if he would turn around for her.

This prompted a camp sing-song, as Dean, Oti, and Danny performed a rendition of “Love is All Around.” An apt choice for the damp morning, given the band’s name of Wet Wet Wet.

Rainfall wasn’t the only thing dampening the camp’s spirits, after Newtownabbey DJ Dean McCullough yet again had a disappointing result in a Bushtucker Trial as he and campmate GK Barry managed to win zero stars.

On Tuesday, hosts Ant and Dec confirmed the pair, who have previously competed in one trial each in the series so far, would take on ‘Drown in the Dumps’ together.

The pair hoped to achieve similar success to GK’s first trial when she took home nine stars during a volcano-themed game – but not Dean’s first trial, when he shouted the infamous ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ after only winning two stars during Tuesday’s Egypt-themed ‘Sinister Sarcophagus’.

It all got too much for the radio presenter which saw him break into tears after being trapped in an enclosed space.

However, despite the pair being hyped up by their campmates with Dean’s fellow Radio 1 star Melvin Odoom predicting the twosome would win “ten stars” and even the pair shouting “Let’s give it large!” as they headed down to the trial area, it sadly didn’t go in Dean or GK’s favour.

Soon after they arrived Ant and Dec revealed that one of them would be positioned at the top, while the other would go at the bottom.

The person in the top section (decided to be Dean) had to feel around in the hell holes to find keys with gold tags attached – they then had to drop the keys into the pipe down to the person in the bottom (GK), who could use the keys to unlock the 10 available stars for camp.

Silver keys were also available, but they wouldn’t unlock anything. During the Trial, they also learned that water would flow through the top section into the bottom section, where it would slowly fill up.

As the two got into position, GK admitted, “I have no words.”

As Dean managed to find his first gold key, he passed it down the pipe to GK, but she couldn’t catch it, and as it disappeared into the water filling up below her, she vowed not to move from her position.

With time running out and 2 minutes left, GK finally conquered her fears and dove down, trying to unlock one of the padlocks with a gold key she had. Unfortunately, she was only able to hold her breath for a short time, and frustratingly, it seemed every padlock she tried didn’t open.

With Ant and Dec counting down the seconds, Grace was also spooked by an eel and screamed, “I’m done, I’m done!”

But it’s not over just yet for Dean, as it was confirmed he will face Thursday night’s trial ‘Lethal Lab’.
