Stephanie Ternent Reid, a former X Factor contestant and beloved mother, has sadly passed away at the age of 36. The singer, who once impressed judges Cheryl and Simon Cowell during her audition, complained of feeling unwell over the weekend before her death on Monday (November 19).
She gained recognition when she performed at Wembley Arena in 2015 for the ITV talent show, winning hearts and making it to the boot camp stage. However, later she faced disappointment when producers cut her journey short due to an excess of participants in that round.
Beyond her television appearance, Stephanie was also known as a match day receptionist at Hibernian Football Club and ran a successful business named Scent With Love, alongside performing numerous gigs across Scotland. Her passing led to an outpouring of grief from friends and family on X, reports the Express.
Julie Ried, Stephanie’s heartbroken mother, expressed her profound sorrow online stating: “My world came crashing down around me yesterday morning along with a shattered heart broken into a million pieces that can never be repaired.”
“Heartbroken doesn’t come close to how I feel since my beautiful precious soul of a girl gained her Angel wings so suddenly. Never, ever did I think I would have to write a post like this.”
In a heartrending tribute, a struggling mother addressed her recently departed daughter: “My precious girl, mum doesn’t know how to carry on without you but I will do my very best for your two beautiful babies and love and care for them just as you did with every bone in your body.”
She continued by praising her daughter’s kindness: “You were the most loving, kind, thoughtful person to grace this earth and I am proud to call you my daughter. Life for me can never, ever be the same but I promise your babies will know how amazing and loving their beautiful mummy was.”
