In tonight’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, radio presenter Dean McCullough will join social media star GK Barry in his second Bushtucker trial.

The Newtownabbey DJ was the first celeb to say ‘I’m a celebrity- get me out of here!’ during Tuesday night’s trial, winning only two stars for the camp.

He was faced ‘The Sinister Sarcophagus’ which saw him locked into a mummy style case, while having to answer a series of Egypt-related questions.

In tonight episode he will be completing a trial with GK Barry, who has already won nine stars for the camp.

The trial – Drown in the Dumps – will see the celebs swims to the bottom of a tank of water and attempt to retrieve padlocked stars.

McCullough will have to work out which key unlocks each padlock in order to grab the star and claim it for the camp.

In a preview clip we see GK attempt struggle to unlock the stars while Ant McPartlin describes the challenge as an “intense spectator’s sport”.

Last night, viewers found out that the former Gaydio presenter would take on a Bushtucker trial.

As he made his way down to the trial area, to greet Ant and Dec, the radio presenter was faced with ‘The Sinister Sarcophagus’.

For every Egypt-related question he answered correctly, a star was lowered down and which he then had to release using only his mouth within 30 seconds.

However, the star’s Egyptology knowledge let him down, as he failed to answer questions like ‘complete the song by the Bangles, walk like an?’ and ‘who was the last Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt?’

“You’re so extra this series, so extra!”, he screamed at hosts Ant and Dec, before adding: “I went to Egypt years ago, but I wasn’t paying attention.

“This is my worst nightmare because I can’t get out. This is not good.”

The clearly nervous star started to immediately scream as he was joined by rats, snakes and mealworms in the coffin, which also slowly filled with sand, but got off to a good start securing two stars after answering two questions correctly

However, the odds weren’t in the presenter’s favour as despite saying he wouldn’t at the beginning of the trial, he shouted the iconic line of ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ just moments into his trial winning just two stars for the camp.

“It was my legs, I am so sorry, this is awful,” he said while crying after having to leave the trial early.

“I’ve got to go back and tell them, this is awful I just didn’t know sand would fill it up, if that wasn’t there, I’d still be there. This is so embarrassing.”

Despite only securing two stars, the rest of the camp were sympathetic to the star, with journalist and Loose Women star Jane Moore comforting him.

“I totally understood why he panicked, when he said he got two, I said that was incredible,” she said.

Fans can watch Dean attempt to redeem himself in tonight’s episode on ITV at 9pm.
