Former world champion boxer Barry McGuigan was left empty handed as he missed out on his luxury item in tonight’s episode of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

McGuigan joined Loose Women and journalist Jane Moore in missing out on their treats after Corrie star Alan Halsall and McFly singer Danny Jones failed to answer questions about them.

Arriving at the ‘jungle delivery centre’, the pair were told that 10 parcels would appear on the conveyor belt in front of them, with each parcel representing a luxury item for the campmates.

All they had to do is save it before it reached the recycling area, by answering a multiple choice question about their fellow campmates.

Determined to get parcels for the whole of camp, Danny said: “Let’s do this man!”

Answering questions like: “What was Tyrone’s first line in Coronation Street?”, “What was the original name of Tulisa’s band N-Dubz” and “What was Dean’s specialist subject on Celebrity Mastermind“, Alan and Danny managed to win 8 out of the 10 luxury items for camp.

Danny joked: “Call us the postmen.”

As Alan added: “Because we’ll deliver.”

But as they couldn’t guess who Jane completed a nationwide tour with (the right answer being Sharon Osbourne) and Barry’s weight class he fought in (featherweight), they didn’t receive their luxury items.

Speaking after the trial, Alan said: “8 out of 10 is so good, we smashed it, really happy with that. But also 2 out of 10, we didn’t get and it’s hard that.”

Danny agreed: “It is hard, but I think Jane and Barry will understand.”

Alan added: “I think they’ll understand, they’ll know we did our best and we just didn’t know the answer on the day unfortunately.”

Dean McCullough faces head full of worms in I’m A Celeb trial

As for the luxury items, Alan received a golf putter, GK Barry received a cosy dressing gown, Coleen received a personalised pillow with a family photo on it, Danny received a lilo, while Dean got his moisturiser.

Radio DJ Melvin received a personalised pillow, with an image of both his girlfriend and celebrity crush Carol Vorderman on it, while N-Dubz star Tulisa received an inflatable chair and Strictly dancer Oti received the gift of music, being entitled 3 plays of her favourite song Bon Jovi’s ‘It’s My Life’.

Elsewhere in the episode, Coleen Rooney recalled the early days of dating husband Wayne.

“I was still at school when he was playing for Everton. I used to walk out and all the girls were going: ‘Whose is that car there?’ And he was in a Bentley and something else and there’s Wayne in the passenger seat with his arm out and one of the players like Thomas Gravesen.”

She added: “I just used to get embarrassed.”

Clarifying it wasn’t his car: “He just used to get a lift home.”

Telling the story of going to her friend’s 18th birthday party, she explained how she got a call from Wayne’s cousin beforehand, asking if she spelled her name with one ‘L’s’ or two.

Asking why, he said: “I’m just with our Wayne in town, he’s getting a tattoo.”

“I’d not long been going with him. I go to this party later on, and he’s going to everybody like this [mocks showing her arm]. He’d got my name tattooed on him! At 17!”

Meanwhile, it was a sparse dinner for camp after Newtownabbey DJ Dean McCullough became the first celebrity to shout ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ in the latest series, as the second Bushtucker Trial got the best of him.

The radio presenter was faced with ‘The Sinister Sarcophagus’ which saw him locked into a mummy style case for the duration of the trial, whilst having to answer a series of Egypt-related questions.

For every one he answered correctly, a star was then be lowered down and he had to release it using only his mouth within 30 seconds.

“You’re so extra this series, so extra!”, he screamed at hosts Ant and Dec, before adding: “I went to Egypt years ago, but I wasn’t paying attention.

“This is my worst nightmare because I can’t get out.”

Sadly however, the odds weren’t in the presenter’s favour as his shouted the iconic line of “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” just moments into his trial, after only just winning 2 stars for camp.
