A woman from Cambridge said she is uncomfortable in her own home because of her neighbour’s “threatening behaviour”.
Beckie, who moved into her home in November 2023, said the problems began “pretty much instantly.”
She claims that her neighbour would scream and shout in his home and constantly knock on her door.
After only a few months, she alleged that his behaviour got even worse and he would shout and threaten to hurt her.

The man appeared to double lock the door to the communal building during one instance so she was not able to get back in.
She also said she felt highly uncomfortable due to the neighbour allegedly commenting on her appearance – including on the day of her father’s funeral.
Beckie has reported her neighbour to the local police, Cambridge City Council and MP Daniel Zeichner but said the situation has not been fully dealt with.
She said the circumstances have made her feel very vulnerable as a young woman living by herself and has led her to have suicidal thoughts.
She is unable to benefit from initiatives like Clare’s Law, which gives people the right to know if a current or ex partner has a history of abuse or violence, because she has never had a relationship with her neighbour.
The neighbour has previously had action taken against him due to antisocial behaviour and is known to police.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police said an investigation was launched into Beckie’s complaint, however the case was later filed pending further lines of enquiry.
They added: “We would, of course, urge the complainant to come forward and report any further incidents to us to help us build a picture of events.”

In April the neighbour signed an agreement called an “undertaking.” The terms included that he should ensure the good behaviour of everyone at his address and not make contact with Beckie, however she said he has breached the terms.
Beckie, who is still living in fear, said: “I’m terrified I’m going to be attacked.”
She added that the undertaking was not worth it as it carried no weight and she is still facing harassment.
A Community Protection Warning has now been issued but she is considering moving away from Cambridge.
