A person has been taken to hospital after a crash in Portishead this morning, Tuesday, November 19. Emergency services were called to Valley Road shortly before 8.30am.

The road was shut in both directions and one person was taken to hospital by ambulance. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Meanwhile, a second person involved in the crash did not require hospital treatment. Drivers should expect delays in the area while recovery work takes place.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “Valley Road, in Portishead, has been closed this morning (Tuesday 19 November) following a two-vehicle collision just before 8.30am. Emergency services are at the scene.

“One person has gone to hospital by ambulance with injuries not currently believed to be either life-threatening or life-changing. A second person did not require hospital treatment. The road remains closed pending recovery of the vehicles.”
