Move over Taylor Swift, you’re going to have to share the spotlight with the Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts, at least for a day.

To celebrate their epic win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday in Vancouver, the Argos will play host to a public rally on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Maple Leaf Square.

Guests can expect to hear speeches from organization leaders. There also will be special programming, giveaways and a live DJ.

If you are planning to attend, be aware that there will be street closures in the surrounding area and to give yourself enough time to arrive at 11 a.m.

Heading into the Grey Cup game, the Argonauts were big-time underdogs after losing quarterback Chad Kelly to a broken leg he suffered in the East semifinal against the Montreal Alouettes.

Under replacement quarterback Nick Arbuckle — and with a lot of help from Argos’ special teams — the Boatmen won easily 41-24 for their second championship in three years and 19th title overall.

Who knows if the Maple Leafs will ever win the Stanley Cup again, and with the Raptors in a rebuild, the Argonauts are here, they are Toronto’s champions and ready to party with their loyal fans.
