Funny man Peter Kay has announced extra dates for his record-breaking comedy tour in a surprise TV ad which aired during the opening of “I’m Celebrity Get Me Out of Here”.

It depicts one of Britain’s best loved comedians being spotted while carrying a gold toilet to his mum’s iconic bungalow before he reveals new shows for 2025 and 2026.

The fan observes a mural of Queen frontman on the garage door before asking “is that Freddie Mercury?”

“Yea, she’s obsessed with him,” Peter replies.

“I had it painted for her birthday.”

The fan then asks “you doing anymore shows” before the comedian says “I have no choice, she wants it all now”.

When the inquisitor says “is that a gold toilet?” Peter replies “oh aye, you wanna see her bidet!” before the extra dates are revealed.

They include an additional night in Dublin’s 3Arena on July 10 and the SSE Arena in Belfast on August 7 next year.

“Overwhelming demand for Peter’s return to stand-up comedy has been phenomenal and fans will now have more opportunity to experience his incredible show live,” a statement from his promoter said.

“Peter’s new dates will see him perform in some of the UK’s largest arenas and more intimate theatre event spaces.

“The new 2025 and 2026 shows include his first dates at Aberdeen P&J Live, Brighton Centre, Bournemouth International Centre and Isle of Man Villa Marina.”

The tour kicked off in Manchester in December 2022 and has already broken records.

The star has just finished his 100th show at the Manchester AO Arena breaking all attendance and performance records and becoming the first artist in the world to perform a monthly residency at The O2 in London.

The 45 sets are the most played by any artist in the venue’s history.

Peter’s new dates include two new weekend shows at The O2 in 2025 further adding to the incredible milestone.

“It’s been wonderful doing what I love most, stand-up comedy,” he said.

“Laughter is more important than ever in these challenging times and with the cost of living still at an all-time high, ticket prices for the new dates will start from £35*.”
