Princess Anne has paid tribute to Scotland with a special jewel and scarf.

Prince William’s aunt attended the Scotland v Portugal rugby match on Saturday accompanied by Colin Rigby, the president of the Scottish Rugby Union.

The Princess Royal, 74, was spotted in the crowds at the Famous Grouse Nations Series rugby match between Scotland and Portugal at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

King Charles’s sister wore a navy structured coat with a structured silhouette and sharp lapels.

In addition, Anne wore a forest green roll-neck jumper in the cold weather with a tartan scarf, paying tribute to Scotland.

The royal patron of the Scottish Rugby Union wore a special silver brooch featuring engraving and four amethysts which she often wears to Scottish rugby matches.

The piece has become somewhat of a good luck charm.

Last week, the royal joined the Princess of Wales on her return to public duties at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance.

Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and King Charles also attended.

She wore a sophisticated black ensemble featuring a sculpted dress paired with a tailored suit jacket with satin lapels.

Her monochrome outfit was complemented by patent black loafers and tights, whilst a printed black and white scarf added subtle dimension to the look.

The royal’s attendance at the prestigious event marked a rare departure from her usual style, with a notable change to her signature appearance.

The most striking change in the Princess Royal’s appearance was her hair colour, which appeared noticeably darker than usual at the remembrance event.

Her signature balletic chignon, typically styled in a light brown shade, was transformed into a deep chocolate hue that perfectly complemented her berry red lipstick.

The subtle yet distinctive change marked a rare deviation from Princess Anne’s usual styling choices, drawing attention from royal watchers.

Despite the colour transformation, she maintained her trademark upswept hairstyle, demonstrating her commitment to the classic look she has made her own.
