Mike Tyson has been flooded with supportive messages from boxing fans after uploading one last post on social media ahead of his boxing match with Jake Paul.

The duo are due to fight at around 4am BST, 24 hours after the pair clashed at the weigh-in.

Tyson and Paul have faced plenty of controversy for agreeing to do battle due to the massive 31-year age gap between the two men.

But Iron Mike seems ready to rock and roll, with the veteran taking to social media to write: “Party time.”

A fifth user wrote: “GOOD LUCK MIKE!!!!! We’re behind ya man!!!!!”

And though there’s nothing to suggest the fight is scripted in any way, a sixth fan said: “Please, please, please go off script and be the animal we all know and love you for!”

The fight will be Tyson’s first pro bout in 19 years.

He ended his career on the back of two defeats to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride, with the boxing star hanging up his gloves in 2005.

Yet his trainer, Andy Velcich, has no concerns about how Tyson will fare.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he’s backed his man to come out on top and finish the fight via knockout – rather than allowing it to go the distance.

“I don’t think it’s going to last 8 rounds,” he said.

“I think Tyson’s going to take him out earlier, but yes, if it needed to go to 8 rounds he’s in unbelievable condition.

“We’re looking at his heart rate in between rounds, like we’re doing sparring sessions all the way up to the full 8 rounds.

“I’m not worried about his endurance at all.”

On how Tyson has been gearing up for his blockbuster return to action, Velcich added: “It [his camp] was kind of push pull, so we based on how he feels.

“So a lot of times we started camp, he would do cardio in the morning around 11am, then he would do boxing, you know, boxing conditioning work around 1 to 2pm.

“Then we’d refuel, do strength and conditioning, and then a lot of the times we would come back to the gym around 7 p.m. and do weights. Then, based on how he feels the next day might be a day off.

“That’s what’s cool about this camp is there wasn’t like set schedules. It was just based on how Mike felt.

“We’d go really hard one week, maybe we would ease back a little in the front end part of the second week and then finish off the week really hard and then based on recovery, how he’s feeling, soreness, everything like that, adjust accordingly.”
