A counterfeit script detailing the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is making rounds on social media.
The 58 year old Tyson is set to face off against YouTuber Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Texas tonight. Despite being the underdog, Tyson’s odds have been reduced by bookmakers this week, especially after he slapped Paul during their confrontation last night.
Both fighters have vowed to knock each other out. The circulating script, which bears resemblance to the fake one shared before Paul’s fight with Tommy Fury last year, outlines each round up to the fifth, where it suggests Paul will stop a fatigued Tyson and ultimately be declared the winner.
However, there is no implication that the fight has been rigged. Here’s how the alleged script predicts the fight will unfold….
Round 1:
As the opening bell rings, Tyson, displaying glimpses of his former prowess, immediately advances with his signature bob-and-weave style. Paul keeps his distance, cautiously moving around the ring, reports the Mirror.
Tyson lands a few jabs, but Paul’s youth is evident in his superior agility. Paul lands a swift one-two combination before backing away.
Tyson’s timing seems slightly off, his punches marginally slower than in his heyday.
Round 2:
Tyson springs into action, effectively cutting off the ring. He lands a powerful left hook to Paul’s body, causing a collective gasp from the spectators.
Despite the onslaught, Paul withstands the pressure, utilising his reach advantage to hit Tyson with long jabs. The younger fighter’s stamina is evident as he bounces on his toes, while Tyson’s breathing becomes noticeably heavier.
Round 3:
Paul grows more confident, planting his feet firmly. He lands a sharp right cross that momentarily stuns Tyson.
The former champion retaliates with a classic combination, but most of it is dodged by Paul. The speed difference becomes increasingly noticeable as Paul starts finding his range with his jab.
Tyson’s renowned head movement begins to slow down.
Round 4:
Tyson starts to show signs of fatigue, though his punches still pack a punch. Paul finds his rhythm, landing cleaner shots.
A particularly sharp right hand opens a cut above Tyson’s left eye. The veteran champion charges forward, attempting to close the distance, but Paul’s footwork keeps him just out of reach.
The momentum is shifting.
Round 5:
Proved to be the decisive round. Paul, sensing Tyson’s fatigue, began to press forward more aggressively.
He landed a sharp three-punch combination that forced Tyson back to the ropes. As Tyson attempted to dodge, Paul timed him perfectly with a devastating right hand that hit him flush on the chin.
Tyson’s legs gave way and he fell to the canvas. The referee started the count, but despite his warrior spirit, Tyson couldn’t beat the ten count.
Jake Paul was declared the winner by KO in Round 5.
