Usually £229, these flagship wireless ‘buds boast Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that’s twice as powerful as the first-generation models to effectively block out unwanted background noise, like the rumble of an aeroplane engine, the chug of the train tracks on your commute, or whirrrrr of the office printer behind your desk.
When you do need to let some of the outside in, AirPods Pro include Transparency mode that lets your surroundings cut-through the audio, while Adaptive Audio is an intelligent blend of both of these modes.
For a limited time, EE has slashed the AirPods Pro 2 to £179 — saving £50.
The last time we saw AirPods Pro 2 drop to that price tag was during the Prime Day sales, when Amazon exclusively cut the cost of these earbuds to £179 — a £10 discount on its previous record price cut. Unfortunately for those who prefer to shop on Amazon, the online retailer has not price-matched the latest discount from EE.

Likewise, Argos and Currys are both currently charging £229 for the AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) — that’s the RRP that you’ll find in the Apple Store. However, the latter offers free laser engraving with a personal message, Memoji, or emoji characters — something that you can’t get anywhere else.
EE rival O2 is offering a discount on the AirPods Pro 2, which have dropped to £206.10 on its site.
It also offers 0% APR monthly repayments available as a standalone monthly plan, or an add-on to your existing phone contract.
Apple announced two variants of its brand-new AirPods 4 earbuds in September, but didn’t make any changes to the hardware of its AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C, which first went on-sale back in late 2022. Despite the lack of exterior changes, Apple rolled-out a software update in recent weeks unlocking a swathe of new features.
AirPods Pro 2 ships with six-hours of music playback with Active Noise-Cancellation (ANC) enabled. The lightweight carry case also recharges the wireless earbuds, adding a total of 30-hours listening time before you’ll need to find a USB-C cable and wall plug.
With the second-generation AirPods Pro, Apple added small speaker to the case, so that it can now emit a sound to help you find it when it’s been misplaced. Both earbuds and the carry case can all be tracked individually via GPS in the Find My app preinstalled on all iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.
With the second-generation model of the AirPods Pro, Apple added a lanyard loop and tweaked the case so that it;s sweat- and water-resistant — just like the Bluetooth earbuds themselves.

As mentioned above, the recent introduction of iOS 18 allowed Apple to add new capabilities to these top-of-the-line earbuds, including Conversation Awareness, which automatically lowers volume when you’re speaking to someone nearby.
Apple will also enable more functionality in the coming weeks, which will enable these ‘buds to become medical-grade hearing aids. The earbuds also support Spatial Audio for a more immersive sound experience and now come with a USB-C charging port, so you can use the same cable for your iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Nintendo Switch, MacBook Pro, and Android devices when away from home.
AirPods Pro 2 offer exceptional value at its premium price point, but they’re far from the cheapest option available in the Black Friday sales. British technology firm Nothing has slashed the cost of its wireless Ear (a) buds, which earned a prestigious Red Dot Design Award when they launched earlier this year.
Usually £99, the Bluetooth ‘buds have plunged to just £69 for a limited time. Despite the budget price tag, Nothing has still managed to include Active Noise-Cancellation and over 40-hours of battery life.
