An individual was left “badly shaken” after their caravan caught fire when their car was intentionally set alight in Co Down.

The PSNI are treating the incident which took place in Crossgar on Thursday, November 14 as arson with intent to danger life.

A spokesperson for the PSNI: said: “It was reported that at around 1.15am a car was set alight the Manse Road area of the town, which quickly spread to an occupied caravan, causing extensive damage.

“No injuries were reported, however the resident was left badly shaken.

“The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information including dash-cam, mobile or CCTV footage of the area or who may have witnessed suspicious activity during this time are asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 68 14/11/24.”
