Police have said a man wielding a knife demanded money from staff at a commercial premises in Belfast.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at commercial premises on at the Newtownards Road on Thursday November 14.
Detective Sergeant Faulkner said: “Shortly before 6:45am, it was reported to police that a male entered a shop in the area armed with a knife.
“It was reported he demanded money from a male member of staff inside the premises and made off with a sum of money on foot. The member of staff was not injured during the incident.
“The male is described as being 5”8 in height, of medium build and brown hair. He was described as wearing a black coloured hooded top with the hood up and navy tracksuit bottoms.
“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 196 14/11/24.”
