Primark has recently introduced a new item to its stores, much to the excitement of shoppers who believe it’s ‘just like’ a well-known high-street brand. The budget fashion retailer has released a new collection of bath and body products that people have been comparing to Lush.
On TikTok, Primark’s Sauchiehall, Glasgow branch staff have been promoting the new line, called Frost Angel, which seems perfect for the Christmas period. Scented with a “sugar plum fragrance”, customers quickly clocked something ‘familiar’ about the product, sparking comments such as: “Omg, it’s a snow fairy [alternative]”.
The comparison in question is none other than Lush’s famously beloved Snow Fairy range. The cosmetic giant has prices for its shower gels starting around £7 and body scrubs from £8.
Primark’s alternative includes options like ‘shower syrup’ or ‘whipped shower foam’ available at just £3.50 – saving customers plenty of cash. Alongside body polish and foaming body scrub priced at £4.
Fans on social media showed their eagerness to indulge in the new range, with reactions such as: “Someone get me this now!” Others claimed that they “need it all” whilst a third added: “Need a trip. This is my fave!”
Another person dropped a not-so-subtle hint to their friend asking: “For my burr basket?” The recent rise in popularity on platforms like TikTok of assembling baskets with ‘cosy’ winter essentials and self-care products seems to be a prime time for Primark to release this range for savvy shoppers, reports the Mirror.
Elsewhere, Tesco has launched an £8 light-up candle that is reportedly reminiscent of Lush’s iconic scent. Also, supermarket Aldi recently shared a glimpse at what’s to come this Christmas, including the return of its ‘Sweet Angel’ shower products.
Reports suggest the popular Sweet Angel and the brand new Sweet Maple scents will land in stores this week (November 14). In other Primark news, a £19 hoodie has caught shoppers’ attention, with some comparing it to luxury brand Adanola. Similar items from the high-end brand retail for around £70, making the Primark version a steal.
