Mike Tyson has sent an emotional message to his children as the boxing icon continues to ramp up preparations for Friday night’s seismic showdown with Jake Paul.

The veteran, 58, will be hoping to prove age is just a number when he faces his 27-year-old opponent at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Tyson took part in an open workout.

The boxing legend still appears to possess the power of old, with the heavyweight icon hitting the pads with thunderous gusto.

Speaking after the session, Tyson then revealed he was hoping to make his children proud.

The boxing star also said his children will learn that he’s ‘special’ when he steps out into the ring for his blockbuster boxing comeback.

“Family is everything. To my children I’m nobody but that night they’re going to find out their father is very special.”

Tyson, despite everything he achieved during his prime, is the underdog for his upcoming clash with Paul given his opponent is 31 years his junior.
