The Amgen Irish Open has been confirmed in a September date at The K Club as part of the DP World Tour’s 2025 schedule.
The Straffan venue, which hosted the event in 2023 and will do so again in 2027, will play host from September 4-7, the week before the flagship BMW PGA at Wentworth for the third year running.
While three events have yet to be confirmed on the 2025 schedule released today, DP World Tour Chief Executive Guy Kinnings confirmed that the Austrian and Turkish Opens will return to the circuit.
There will be a minimum of 42 Race to Dubai tournaments in at least 26 different countries for a record total prize fund of $153 million, not including the Majors.
The Masters takes place from April 10-13, the US PGA at Quail Hollow from May 15-18 and the US Open at Oakmont from June 12-15 before The Open returns to Royal Portrush from July 17-20.
For the second consecutive season, the schedule will comprise three distinct phases, beginning with five ‘Global Swings’ followed by the ‘Back 9’, with the season culminating with the ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs’ in November.
The Turkish Open, which will be played at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort from May 8-11, marks the DP World Tour’s return to Turkey for the first time in six years.
The tour also returns to Austria for the first time since 2021 with the Austrian Alpine Open to be played from May 29 to June 1.
The Nedbank Golf Challenge returns to the schedule in South Africa next month as part of the ‘Opening Swing’ which begins later this month with the season-opening BMW Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland in Brisbane.
The Amgen Irish Open will again form part of “The ‘Back 9’ events in autumn as players battle to secure places in the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
There are two team matchplay contests on the schedule – the Team Cup at Abu Dhabi Golf Club from January 10-12 and the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York from September 26-28.
There are also some new venues with the FedEx Open de France moving to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche for its 107th edition due to work taking place at Le Golf National.
The Italian Open moves to Argentario Golf Club in Tuscany, the ISCO Championship will be played at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, and the Danish Golf Championship switches to Furesø Golf Klub near Copenhagen.
