NatWest customers across the UK have been left unable to access their accounts this morning as the bank’s mobile app experiences widespread technical issues.
Hundreds of users are currently reporting problems with the banking app, which is preventing them from logging in to their accounts and accessing their money.
The outage, which began within the last hour, is affecting the high street bank’s mobile and online banking services, leaving customers locked out of their accounts.
According to outage tracking website DownDetector, thousands of customers have reported issues with NatWest’s services this morning.
Users are specifically experiencing problems with logging in on their phones and online banking access.
NatWest has yet to make an official statement regarding the technical difficulties affecting their banking services.
Customers have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, have raised the issue with the bank. One user wrote: “@Natwest your app isnt working – what is the eta for it to be back on line.”
While another said: “NatWest app is down again, please report it to your IT teams. This is happening too frequently.”
A third added: “@NatWest_Help can you sort out your app? It’s becoming annoying now.”
NatWest responded to customers and said there is “no timescale” for how long it will take for the issue to resolve.
They added: “The team will be working to resolve this ASAP.”
