With December fast approaching, it signals the start of the Christmas gift shopping season. Starting early can help avoid last-minute panic buys and poor choices, plus it offers the chance to snap up some fantastic bargains.

If you’re shopping for a beauty enthusiast, a popular perfume that’s currently heavily discounted on Amazon could be an ideal choice. A 100ml bottle of Clinique’s Happy Perfume Spray is priced at £19.90 on Amazon, whereas it’s £75 on the brand’s official website.

Clinique Happy is a fruity-floral scent suitable for daily wear, featuring notes of ruby red grapefruit, bergamot, Hawaiian wedding flower, and spring mimosa. In a survey conducted by Clinique involving 72 women, 97% reported feeling happy when they smelled the fragrance – exactly what one would hope for from a perfume.

It’s a scent that promises to bring a touch of sunshine to anyone’s day, making it an excellent Christmas gift – if you can resist keeping it for yourself. Customers seem to adore Happy – it has earned an impressive 4.4 out of 5 stars from 1,021 ratings on Amazon.

“I’m obsessed with this perfume! Stunning smell! I love it! ! ” gushed one enthusiastic shopper. Another added: “Love the smell of this – get little wafts throughout the day. Not sweet due to the nice citrus tones, so smells lovely,”, reports the Manchester Evening News.

“I suffer with irritation if I wear most perfumes on my skin but I have no problems with this one at all. It smells so summery and is the only perfume that lasts on me all day! Everyone notices the fragrance which although lasting is by far from cloying. It is delicate and feminine. It has taken many years and a lot of money to eventually find the right perfume for me. I won’t be changing again,” a third said in their review.

However, some customers had more critical notes to share. “I only wish there was a smaller option than the 50ml bottle since it is nice to have it on the go as a day time fragrance,” one customer wrote.

Another highlighted how personal scent preferences can be: “not the absolute best of the best fragrance, for me anyhow”.

You can pick up the perfume on Amazon. For those looking to splurge on a more high-end brand while sticking to fruity fragrances, the Marc Jacobs Daisy Ever So Fresh Eau de Parfum is an excellent choice, currently available for £73.60 (down from £92) for a 75ml bottle at Boots. Alternatively, Jimmy Choo’s Blossom perfume is priced at £45 for 40ml at The Fragrance Shop.
