Princess Kate has been confirmed to be stepping out this weekend for Remembrance Sunday as she joins the Royal Family.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Kate, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, will join her family this weekend in London to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

The Princess of Wales, 42, will also attend Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall alongside her husband, Prince William.

In a statement, the Palace said: “Members of the Royal Family will attend the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

Queen Camilla, who announced earlier this week that she is battling a chest infection, has not yet confirmed her attendance this weekend.

In a statement, the Palace said: “His Majesty The King and Members of the Royal Family will attend engagements to mark Remembrance in 2024.

“The Queen’s attendance at Remembrance events will be subject to medical advice nearer the time.”

The King is expected to lay a wreath by the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.

The Palace said: “The King will lay a wreath, the design of which pays tribute to the wreath of His Majesty’s grandfather, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II.

“The wreath’s poppies are mounted on an arrangement of black leaves, as is traditional for the Sovereign, and its ribbon bears The King’s racing colours; scarlet, purple and gold. The Royal racing colours were also incorporated into the wreaths of King George V, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II.”

Queen Camilla’s wreath will be laid by an “Equerry from the Royal Household,” according to Buckingham Palace.

The King and The Queen’s wreaths have both been produced by The Poppy Factory.
