Police are investigating separate reports of gunshots about 15 minutes and a few kilometres apart in the north end of the city.
Toronto Police said they responded to reports of gunfire heard in the Trethewey Dr.-Clearview Heights area at 9:01 p.m. on Wednesday and confirmed a firearm was discharged after shell casings were found.
They said there were no reports of injuries.
About 12 minutes later in the Jane St.-Falstaff Ave. area, there were more reports of gunshots heard with officers confirming that a firearm was discharged after more shell casings were discovered.
There were no reports of injuries as well and no property was damaged, police said.
The areas where the shootings occurred are about 3 km apart. An email to Toronto Police asking whether the incidents are related or not was not immediately answered.
