Police are looking for two suspects after a fire was sparked inside a Richmond Hill cinema.

York Regional Police said while there were occupants on the second floor, no one was hurt when arsonists on Sunday night set a fire in the main lobby of a cinema located in the East Beaver Creek-Hwy. 7 area. The blaze was extinguished by the threatre’s sprinkler system.

Security video shows a grey sport utility vehicle — with the Ontario licence plate, DCKP 812 — parked in front of the cinema entrance.

The video shows two men throwing an object on to the ground before tossing what appear to be Molotov cocktails. The arsonists fled in their vehicle.

The suspect vehicle is registered as a grey Acura RDX and was reported stolen out of Toronto on Oct. 28.

The first suspect is described as having a medium build, and wearing mostly black clothing except for a white shirt. The second suspect is described as having a medium build, wearing white shoes, black pants, a grey hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and a mask.

Police ask anyone with information to call 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7241.
