Donald Trump arrived at a polling station in Palm Beach, Florida, to cast his vote in the closely contested US election.
Accompanied by his wife, Melania, the Republican candidate expressed confidence in his chances as he told reporters that he felt “confident”.
Polling stations across the US are now open, with the first results anticipated within a few hours.
Trump and Kamala Harris are currently tied neck and neck in the seven key battleground states vital to swinging the election.
National polling is also tying the White House hopefuls as Americans race to the ballot boxes to cast their vote.
Wearing his Make America Great Again cap as he casted his vote, Trump said: “I feel very confident… and it looks like Republicans have shown up in force.”
He added: “It looks like we have a very substantial lead. It looks like we have many more Republicans voting today than Democrats.
“If you have a lead and we have a bigger vote that means you are doing very well. They have to call a winner. And they should call a winner, yes.”
