Fenty Beauty by Rihanna The Homecurl Curl-Defining Styling Cream

They say: A styling cream for curly hair that features a unique gel-cream texture. The silicone-free formula boasts mango butter and the brand’s proprietary Replenicore-5 complex to strengthen, hydrate, fight frizz, add definition to curls, and more.

We say: Curly haired girls know how tricky it can be to find a product that fits their specific hair needs. Some curl creams are too weighty, others are too sticky, while still others are too lightweight. This Fenty Hair formula is just right. Our tester applied a small amount to sections of her damp hair post-shower. She then scrunched her strands to help the curls shape. Whether air-dried or dried with a diffuser, the product provided a soft hold to help battle frizz while also keeping curls formed.

Ghlee Muscle Recovery Balm.

Ghlee Muscle Recovery Balm

They say: A muscle recovery balm from the Canadian beauty brand Ghlee that features arnica extract, turmeric and ghee to soothe pain and tension in muscles.

We say: A self-described queen of muscle rubs (perhaps not something to be proud of), our tester rubbed this balm onto her achey shoulders. With a subtle, spicy scent the balm doesn’t overpower your perfume, which makes it perfect for daytime and even midday application. Our tester noticed massaging a small amount onto tense muscles provided a feeling of soothing relief. It’s now a mainstay at her work desk.

Rhode Barrier Butter.

Rhode Barrier Butter

They say: An “intensive” multipurpose balm that can be used on the face, hands and body. The fragrance-free formula features hyaluronic acid, murumuru butter and polyglutamic acid to help give dehydrated skin a big drink of hydration.

We say: A little of this moisturizing butter goes a long way. Our tester tried it as an overnight treatment, a hand cream and as a midday topper on especially dry areas of her face and was impressed by how well it provided instant moisture and comfort without feeling heavy.
