• Ford Mustang recalled for possible display issue with the digital instrument cluster
  • Ford F-Series recalled for potentially damaged camera on top the tailgate
  • Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator recalled for inoperable rearview camera at speeds over 10 mph

Ford is likely hoping for better news in 2025, at least when it comes to the numerous recalls the company has endured throughout 2024. Back in July, we reported the automaker was up to 31 recalls, covering almost 3.7 million vehicles in the U.S. in the span of six months; a few more have been added since then, and here come another four. At the time of writing, there was nothing on Transport Canada about these recalls affecting Canadian vehicles, but we’ll update this post if that information becomes available on any of the following safety campaigns from Ford.

You can also check , using your VIN, to see if your vehicle is affected by a recall.

Ford Mustang recalled for possible display issue

Ford is recalling 6,212 Mustangs in the U.S. due to the digital instrumentation cluster potentially going blank. If that happens, well, it’s pretty obvious that a lot of important vehicle information won’t be visible. Ford says the issue is caused by low-voltage events in the remote cluster box, affecting only certain Mustangs from the 2024 model year. Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Ford dealership to have the software updated.

Ford F-Series recalled for potentially damaged camera

Ford is recalling 24,950 vehicles from its F-Series in the U.S., including 2023 and 2024 model years of the Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450s. A camera, specifically found on the top of the tailgate, can be damaged by water. If there is water damage, Ford says the camera may not function when the tailgate is down, and therefore, the infotainment screen won’t correctly display an image. Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Ford dealership where the tailgate camera, wire harness, and Tailgate Park Assist Sensor Interface Module will be replaced, if necessary, free of charge.

Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator recalled for inoperable rearview camera

Ford is recalling 384 units of the 2025 Explorer and another seven of the 2025 Lincoln Aviator due to a software glitch that affects the rearview camera image. Ford says some vehicles were shipped with pre-production software, in which the rearview camera image may not work if the vehicle is going faster than 10 mph in reverse. Owners will be notified by mail and can take their vehicle to a dealership to be fixed, but the auto manufacturer will also be rolling out an OTA update to fix the issue by the end of the month.

Some Ford Transits could roll while in Park

Lastly (for now) Ford is recalling 808 units of the Ford Transit Van from model years 2023 and 2024. The affected vehicles have incorrect bolts that attach the rear-axle shaft and may not engage properly, which can cause the rear wheels to lock up or completely separate from the axle. Ford also noted if the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll while in Park. Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealership to have the bolts replaced, free of charge.
