A woman and three children have been left “extremely distressed” following a burglary in Greenisland involving four masked men

The incident happened in the Fortfield Manor area at 8pm on Saturday November 2.

Police said four masked men, all dressed in dark clothing, entered through the back door of the house and ordered those inside – a woman and three children – into the living room.

The men then proceeded to search the house taking with them a quantity of jewellery and a sum of cash when they left.

Police have said this was a “very traumatic experience” for those in the house, but confirmed there were no injuries reported.

Police are asking the public for dashcam footage from the Shore Road area in Greenisland, from Station Road Roundabout to Seapark (Belfast Road) roundabout between 7:30pm and 9pm, as they believe this may be able to help with enquiries.
