Earlier this month, we asked you what Bristol’s best greasy spoon is as, sometimes, a fry-up is just what you need. That is particularly the case after a night out, when a full English breakfast hits the spot.
While cooking at home is always an option, sometimes it is nice to be cooked for. And, in Bristol, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to greasy spoons as results from our poll shows.
Having received more than 70 votes, greasy spoons across the city got nominated. But, as we continue our mission to find the crispiest hash browns and the most delicious sausages, we are now putting the five that got the most mentions to a vote.

Making it to the top five is the well-known Totterdown Canteen on Wells Road, which opened back in 2015, and, at the time, was described as “one of the best fry-up breakfasts in the city” by Mark Taylor. Abbots Kitchen on Dundry Lane, in Whitchurch, South Bristol, has also made it to the shortlist.
Top Nosh, on Soundwell Road in Kingswood, is also on the top five, as is Jessie’s Cafe on Redcatch Road, in South Bristol. The final nomination was for another South Bristol greasy spoon, George’s on East Street.
