A man has admitted to killing his 93-year-old father in their home in South Gloucestershire. Gary Moore, 65, has pleaded guilty to murdering his father Robert Moore, known as Bob.
Moore was arrested at a residential address in Mill Lane, Hambrook on Saturday, June 22. He was charged later the same day with the murder of his 93-year-old father, Bob.
Officers attended the scene around 9.55am on June 22. Sadly, a man was found deceased at the scene.
Moore entered a guilty plea at Bristol Crown Court earlier today, Friday, November 1. He has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on Friday 29 November.
A statement from Avon and Somerset Police said: “A man has pleaded guilty to murdering his father in South Gloucestershire. Gary Moore, 65, killed Robert Moore, better known as Bob, at a residential address in Mill Lane, Hambrook, on Saturday 22 June.
“Moore, who lived at the same address, was arrested that morning by officers and subsequently charged with the 93-year-old’s murder. He pleaded guilty at a hearing at Bristol Crown Court today (Friday 1 November).
“Moore has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on Friday 29 November. Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family, who we continue to provide support to.”
