Remembrance Day is a matter of days away, and this year sees a number of Remembrance events taking place across the dates of November 10 and 11, with some taking place even earlier this year.

Across the city and the country as a whole, this important date marks the end of the First World War. It’s also a day to remember all those who fought and died for our nation during conflicts before and after that time.

This year’s Remembrance services include cenotaph and church services, parades, candle-lighting, and more. We’ve compiled a list of some of the services and events taking place across the city this year, below, however it is also worth checking your local community centres, churches, village halls and cenotaph spots, for your local memorials too.

You can find more information on key dates and other Remembrance Services nationally via the Royal British Legion’s official website, where you can also purchase a poppy or other apparel.
