Olly Murs, Kaiser Chiefs and Supergrass have been announced as the first headliners for a Bristol music festival taking place next year. Bristol Sounds, the festival in the Harbourside area, will be taking place in June 2025.
The open-air set of gigs celebrated its tenth anniversary this year by bringing seven days of live acts spread across nine days. Running from June 22 to June 30, the likes of Busted, James Arthur and Annie Mac took to the Lloyds Amphitheatre to amaze audiences.
Next year’s event promises to build on the star-studded line-up between June 25 and June 29, 2025. Tickets will go on sale next week to the general public, but pre-sale tickets are available from Wednesday (November 6).
Kicking off the line-up, indie rock legends Supergrass will take to the stage on June 25 as part of their 30th anniversary reunion tour. The band will play their debut album, I Should Coco, in full as they bring the energy of the 90s to Bristol.
The following night, the Kaiser Chiefs will play their biggest hits including I Predict a Riot and Ruby. Led by frontman Ricky Wilson, the band last played at the amphitheatre in 2015, meaning it will be their first performance at the Harbourside in ten years.
On the final night, Olly Murs will return to Bristol having supported Take That at Ashton Gate earlier this year. The pop sensation, known for songs like Troublemaker and Dance With Me Tonight, will play out the festival.
More artists will be announced soon as Bristol Sounds promises a diverse line-up. Conal Dodds, promoter at Crosstown Concerts, said: “We can’t wait to bring Bristol Sounds back to the harbourside for another incredible year.
“It’s always been about the fans and creating unforgettable nights in one of the city’s best locations. When curating our line-up, we want to make sure there’s something for everyone – and regardless of what music you’re into, you’re guaranteed to have a good time.
“There’s always such great energy at the Amphitheatre from the artists and the crowds and Bristol Sound is more than just gigs; it’s a celebration of live music, right here in the heart of the city.”
Pre-sale tickets go on sale on Wednesday and music lovers can sign up here. General sale tickets will go on sale to the public at 10am on Friday, November 8.
