Donald Trump gave a speech from a rubbish truck in a bizarre stunt after a row broke out between the two opposing parties over “garbage” last week.

After Joe Biden seemed to call Trump supporters “garbage” in a recorded speech, the Republican answered questions in the driver’s seat of a rubbish truck in Wisconsin.

Speaking to journalists, the former President said: “Joe Biden should be ashamed of himself. If he knows what he’s even doing. And she should be ashamed.

“She’s the vice-president, but I assume she’s acting as the president. She should never have let that happen.”

An official White House transcript revealed the President was actually referring to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, rather than the millions of Trump supporters across America.

Over the weekend, Hinchcliffe claimed that Puerto Rico was a “floating island of garbage” at a campaign event in Madison Square Garden.

Speaking to the group Voto Latino, Biden added that Trump “doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community.”

He added: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

However, the official White House transcript included an apostrophe, which meant that he was referring to a single supporter – Tony Hinchliffe.

Consequently, the White House transcript reads: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s – his demonisation of Latinos is unconscionable and it’s un-American.”

In response, Trump was quick to criticise the 81-year-old and his Vice President Kamala Harris for seemingly calling his supporters “garbage”.

Senior Republican members of Congress James Comer and Elise Stefanik accused White House staff of changing Biden’s words, as they wrote to its counsel to demand any related documents associated with the allegedly misinterpreted words, warning that any alteration could be classified as a violation of the Presidential Records Act.

Together, the pair wrote: “President Biden’s vindictive words were unsurprising, given his previous statements regarding people who choose not to vote for his preferred candidate.”

“Unsurprising too were the White House’s actions after he said them.”

The lawmakers argued that “instead of apologising or clarifying President Biden’s words” officials sought to “change them (despite them being recorded on video) by releasing a false transcript of his remarks.”

Democrat presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris distanced herself from the rubbish controversy altogether, saying that the President had “clarified his comments”, although she said she disagreed with “any criticism of people based on who they vote for.”
