Shortly after 10am, a statement from the PSNI said: “Road users are advised that Church Street in Ballymena has now fully re-opened to traffic, following a fire at premises in the area earlier.”

Firefighters still at scene of extinguished fire in Ballymena

At 6.51am, a statement from the PSNI said: “Road users are advised that Church Street in Ballymena is currently closed at its junction with Broadway, in order to facilitate emergency services who remain at the scene following a report of a fire at premises in the area earlier. The fire has been extinguished, and an update will be provided in due course.”

Delays on road into Belfast, with road closed in city centre

  • In Dundonald, the A20 Upper Newtownards Road is down to one lane in each direction approaching the Ballyregan Road Junction due to Phoenix Gas working there, with delays in each direction.
  • In Belfast, Royal Avenue is closed in both directions from Donegall Street to the Library Street Junction due a burst water main.

Co Antrim road closed following crash

Road users are advised the Castle Road, Antrim is closed between Milltown Road and Maghereagh Road due to a road traffic collision. Emergency services are at the scene, and you’re advised to seek an alternative route for your journey at this time.

UPDATE: The Castle Road in Antrim has reopened following an earlier road traffic collision this afternoon, Sunday 27th October.

Crash causing delays in Belfast

Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision on the A20 Upper Newtownards Road at the junction of Grampian Avenue on the out of town lanes, with drivers warned to expect delays.

UPDATE: The Upper Newtownards Road in East Belfast has reopened following an earlier road traffic collision this afternoon, Sunday 27th October.

Co Down road closed following crash

Road users are advised that the Portaferry Road just outside Newtownards is closed following a road traffic collision. Diversions are in place but avoid the area if possible.

UPDATE: The Portaferry Road has now reopened following an earlier crash.
