Joe Rogan hasn’t given up hope on interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris in the lead up to the Nov. 5 presidential election, says the New York Post.
The popular podcaster said on X that he had to refuse a chat with Harris because her campaign made several demands — for him to travel to her for an interview that could last only one hour — but he hopes it will still take place.
“They offered a date for Tuesday (Oct. 29), but I would have had to travel to her, and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” Rogan said in a statement on X, adding that the Harris campaign “has not passed on doing the podcast.”
“My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen.”
Harris’ opponent, Donald Trump, has taken part in a three-hour, in-studio interview on The Joe Rogan Experience last Friday. The interview has garnered well-over 37 million views on YouTube.
Rogan has reportedly been in negotiations for a sit-down with Harris for weeks and confirmed as much during his Trump interview, saying the talks were still ongoing.
Trump, however, laughed at the idea of Harris doing a three-hour interview which is common on Rogan’s podcast.

“Can you imagine Kamala doing this show? She’d be laying on the floor,” said Trump “If she did this kind of an interview with you, I hope she does, because it would be a mess. She’d be laying on the floor. Comatose. She’d be saying, ‘Call in the medics.’”
Rogan disagreed.
“I could imagine her doing this show,” he told Trump. “She was supposed to do it. And she might still do it. And I hope she does. I will talk to her like a human being. I would try to have a conversation with her. I think we’d have a fine conversation.”
