Amanda Owen has had to issue a public statement to her fans and followers just weeks after making her highly-anticipated return to screens.
The mum-of-nine shot to fame on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm which documented her and her large brood as they ran their isolated farm in the Dales, Ravenseat.
Following her split from husband Clive Owen, the Channel 5 show came to a close in 2022 but this year, the former husband and wife duo decided to reunite for a new series, this time on More4.
Our Farm Next Door features both Amanda and Clive as well as all nine of their children as the Owens get to work restoring derelict farmhouse, Anty Johns, back to its former glory on the farm.
The More4 series has been met with a rather mixed bag of reactions from long-standing Our Yorkshire Farm fans, with some branding the new series “dull” and others concerned for the Yorkshire Shepherdess after claiming to spot a change in her demeanour.
Nevertheless, Amanda and her family have been regularly promoting Our Farm Next Door across social media and thanking fans who’ve tuned in.

But in her latest update, shared via her agent Jo, Amanda had to use her Facebook page to issue a warning to her followers.
“Hi all, this is Jo, Amanda’s agent. Hope you’re all having a good weekend,” Owen’s agent began. “It’s been brought to my attention this past few days that there are a number of FB pages springing up, which are passing themselves off as being in some way related to Amanda and/or the new series.
“This is just a quick note to confirm that this is the one and only official channel (verified with a blue tick) in relation to Amanda, along with the TV series, her books and any public speaking events we organise.
“If any FB pages make friends requests as if they were Amanda or anyone else in the family, please do not interact with them and please do not under any circumstances part with any of your hard earned money if requested to do so.”
Owen’s agent went on to divulge that this isn’t an unfamiliar occurrence.
She typed: “We have had a problem in the past with pages pretending to offer live-streaming events and asking people to buy tickets that don’t actually exist.
“Anything along those lines is bogus and the only place you will find legitimate posts is here. We will never ask you for money or make friends requests.
“This is purely a channel to let you all know when there’s some exciting news to share. Thanks for reading and please stay safe on the internet. Best wishes, Jo x.”
Before long, Our Yorkshire Farm fans rushed to the comments to thank Owen and her agent for the warning – with some revealing they’d been targeted.
One person replied: “It’s about time FB and all social media companies started verifying users – much in the same way as banks do.

“There’s so much c**p out there – a complete minefield that the unwary and inexperienced users can be taken advantage of.”
A second added: “Thank you for clarifying that. I recently received a friend request from one such group and immediately felt it wasn’t right, so ignored it.”
And a third echoed: “Thanks Jo, loving the series. They are a great family x x.” (sic)
The Owen family will be back on screens for the next episode of Our Farm Next Door on Monday night on More4.
