Jermaine Jenas appears to be back working as a football pundit a few months after he lost his gig with the BBC.

Jenas was once seen as the heir to Gary Lineker’s main presenter role for Match of the Day until he was sacked by the BBC after allegations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’.

The former Premier League star was a pundit for Match of the Day as well as a co-host of The One Show.

He had also been known for his work with TNT Sports for their coverage of the Premier League.

Jenas hasn’t returned to TNT Sports’ coverage this season so far, but he was spotted back on the sidelines for an overseas broadcaster in Arsenal’s game against Liverpool.

The former England international hinted at his next move on social media last month where he revealed he already had something in the pipeline.

He said: “There’s some exciting stuff that I’ve been working on.

“So hopefully you’ll have that to look forward to very soon.

“And hopefully I’ll be back just talking about what I love really, which is football.

“I’ve been living the life of those Spurs fans who’ve been up and down and up and down.”

He added: “So I’ve been watching but I’m looking forward to kind of getting back and just talking about what I love most.

“So last of all, thank you very much and, yeah, I’ll see you soon.”

Jenas admitted after the scandal that he was ‘not proud’ of the messages he sent.

He said: “This is all on me and I fully accept there is a level of responsibility that needs to be upheld when you’re a member of the BBC.”

However, Jenas claimed there was ‘nothing illegal’ about his actions and the messages were with ‘two consenting adults’.

But he issued an apology to his family, friends and colleagues over the whole ordeal.

“I have let myself down, my family, friends and colleagues down, and I owe everyone an apology – especially the women with whom I was messaging. I am so, so sorry,” he said.

“I think it would be fair to say I have a problem. I know I self-sabotage and have a self-destructive streak when it comes to my relationship especially, and I know I need help. And I am getting help.

“I have made a lot of mistakes, and I am asking myself a lot of questions at the moment. I know there’s a lot of work that needs to be done, and it will be hard.”
