Ex Made in Chelsea icon, Georgia Toffolo, is now engaged, following a romantic proposal that took place surrounded by loved ones. The reality star, who was also crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2017, is set to tie the knot with partner James Watt, whom she met last summer.
James, a best-selling author and co-founder of British pub chain BrewDog, reportedly popped the question during a family holiday in the Greek Islands. The special moment came just a day after Georgia’s 30th birthday on Wednesday, October 23.
“He asked her to marry him yesterday in front of both of their families in Greece,” a source told MailOnline. “After the proposal they went to a big party at the Peligoni club and ended up dancing on tables to ABBA, celebrating with all the other guests.”
Posting on Instagram, Georgia also added: “James asked me to marry him. It really was the best moment of my life so far. I never knew I could feel happiness like this. The easiest, quickest yes to being your wife. @brewdogjames.
“Our love story is my favourite. How we managed to find each other out of billions of people out there will always be my greatest blessing. I love you forever and the magical life we’re building.”
The proposal is thought to be even more special for Georgia as she previously told the Daily Mail that an engagement ring would be the ‘ultimate 30th birthday present’. Just last month, she said: “You never know, I can hope and pray and I was praying yesterday so hopefully it’s not too far off.”
Georgia was first thrown into the spotlight in 2014, after joining the E4 reality TV series Made in Chelsea. Since then, she’s starred in a number of other shows including Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Hunted and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which she won in 2017.
In 2023, she also appeared on the South Africa version of I’m a Celeb, where Myleene Klass was crowned Queen of the Jungle.
