Canadiens rookie defenceman Lane Hutson has been averaging more than 23 minutes of ice time per game this season. The 20-year-old played 30:05 in a 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings and had a minus-4 differential in two of the first seven games.

Is Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis playing Hutson too much?

That’s the question answered on this Hockey Inside/Out Bonus episode as former Canadiens teammates and Stanley Cup champions Rick Green and Chris Nilan join The Gazette’s Stu Cowan. Green played 15 seasons in the NHL as a defenceman and was an assistant coach in charge of the defence for 11 seasons with the New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings and the Canadiens.

Let us know what you think in the comments section below, where you can also post a question you’d like the panel to answer on an upcoming Hockey Inside/Out Show bonus episode.
