An Ajax man is wanted for human trafficking and a laundry list of other offences after evading arrest in the spring.

Toronto Police said a human trafficking investigation was launched on Feb. 23 in the Davenport and Walmer Rds. area after a woman was thrown from a moving vehicle.

Investigators discovered that the woman was allegedly a victim of human trafficking.

On May 22, police said investigators with the Human Trafficking Enforcement Team identified and located a suspect –  Xavier Greaves, 26 – and attempted to arrest him.

However, police allege the suspect fled from officers and is actively evading capture, adding a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Greaves is wanted for human trafficking, two counts of financial/material benefit from trafficking in persons, aggravated assault, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm, leaving an accident scene causing bodily harm, trafficking in Schedule 1 substance, breach of probation, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, and four counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited.

He is described as Black, 5-foot-9 with a medium build.

Investigators said he is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area and Southwestern Ontario.

Police warn that the suspect is allegedly known to be violent and dangerous, and if located, to not approach and call 911.
