Two Toronto men have been charged with the wilful promotion of hatred and mischief interference with property.
Toronto Police say on Dec. 2, 2023, they received a call for mischief in the Davenport Rd.-Dupont St. area and it’s alleged two suspects were posting flyers promoting hatred against members of the Jewish and 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
On Feb. 26, 2024, Seyed Vorudi, 24, and Mikhail Bykov, 27, were arrested and charged initially with mischief.

Toronto Police’s hate crime unit continued its investigation and sought consent from the Ministry of the Attorney General to lay the charge of wilful promotion of hatred. On Tuesday, the two men were additionally charged with the wilful promotion of hatred against an identifiable group.
