A transgender high school coach in Pennsylvania has resigned after pornographic videos turned up, allegedly showing her smoking meth during a sex romp.

Sasha Yates left her position as tennis coach at Gettysburg Area High School on Sept. 30 due to “ongoing health reasons,” the Gettysburg Times reported.

Yates, who identifies as a woman, added: “There was no undue pressure or malicious forethought from anyone within the school district, be that board members, administrators, or staff, to leave.”

However, school board member Michelle Smyers contacted police and the board after allegedly receiving a “very disturbing” email regarding Yates on Sept. 29, the day before the coach submitted her resignation.

“Thought you might find it interesting how your high school tennis coach spends her weekends,” the email from “ThugLove” said, according to the Daily Wire.

In one video seen by the outlet, Yates allegedly appears to be smoking meth from a pipe and asking a woman: “Am I a good meth wh*re?” Another video reportedly shows Yates in a black bra, bent over a counter while having sex with a man wearing a ski mask.

It is unclear who leaked the videos, but Smyers denied any involvement, other than that she was on the receiving end of the email.

“I had absolutely nothing to do with the information that was sent to me,” she told the Times.

“I do not know for certain who it came from or why it was sent to me, but the information has been confirmed and the resignation tendered by the coach was appropriate for the situation.”

Yates’ behaviour has long been a concern for parents, including the time the coach entered the girls’ locker-room and asked students about their underwear preference and periods, the Daily Wire reported.

Yates was disciplined, but her contract was renewed after activists accused the school board of transphobia and targeting the coach, the Daily Wire reported, though Smyers was one of the board members who voted against renewing Yates’ contract over the summer.

The girls tennis season ends on Thursday, according to officials.

“I have enjoyed my six years as head coach for the boys and girls tennis teams and wish them continued success in the future,” Yates said.

Smyers said while “many may think I’m happy about this turn of events,” she insisted she feels compassion for Yates.

“After viewing the contents of the email, what I am acutely aware of is that there is another human being who is obviously in some type of mental distress and I can only hope that he can get the help he needs to overcome the challenges he is facing.”
