A 27-year-old woman is now sought for the deadly stabbing of an alleged associate – a teenage boy – in an auto theft ring during a vehicle theft in Richmond Hill over the summer.

York Regional Police say the stabbed boy was dumped at a hospital around 6 a.m. on Aug. 8.

“The victim was accompanied by two other males, one of which left immediately after they dropped the victim off,” Const. James Dickson said in a statement Wednesday.

“The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later,” he said, adding the boy has now been identified as a 16-year-old from Montreal.

At the time of the stabbing, police alleged the two men and the stabbing victim had been involved in a vehicle theft on Kersey Cr. – near Yonge St. and Major Mackenzie Dr. W. – around 4:45 a.m. that day.

It’s unknown exactly where the stabbing occurred but the stolen vehicle was recovered later that morning in a North York parking lot – near Weston Rd. and Sheppard Ave. W.

Investigators released images of two unidentified suspects – one man spotted by a security camera dropping the victim at the hospital and another man captured on video exiting the stolen vehicle and walking away from the area.

One of those suspects was subsequently identified and arrested.
