A house fire has been extinguished after emergency services attended the scene of a blaze in north Belfast.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were called to the fire at approximately 9.46am on Bentinck Street in Tigers Bay.

A spokesperson confirmed firefighters tackled the blaze in full breathing apparatus gear and extinguished the property using two hose reels.

Two units from Whitla Fire Station and one from the Westland station attended the scene in the north of the city, the spokesperson added.

NIFRS confirmed that the incident was dealt with by 11.20am.
