Aljaz Skorjanec and Tasha Ghouri are considered one of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing couples to beat, with the two consistently achieving high scores.
During an appearance on Tuesday’s Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, the pair were even informed they’d received the highest scores of any couple in the show’s 20-year history for the current stage of the competition.
However, Love Island star Ghouri, 26, was noticeably “deflated” following her latest performance on Saturday night, despite receiving an impressive score of 34.
It Takes Two host Fleur East picked up on this and questioned the reality star about it during their conversation on the chat show.
“After the performance you seemed a little bit deflated,” she pointed out, adding: “What was going through your mind from that moment?”
“I will be honest, I think I had quite a rough week last week,” the model admitted, opening up on the recent doubts she has had after ending up fourth on the leaderboard on Saturday night.

Elaborating, she candidly explained: “Emotionally, a lot of things happened after the Charleston.
“A lot of people were saying a lot of different things and I started to feel like, ‘Do I deserve to be here?’ I started to feel like that.”
The couple had performed a Charleston the week prior, which saw them receiving not just one – but the first three 10s of the series.
They managed to achieve a score of 39, an incredible feat for week four of the series. Sadly, the result, which should have been cause for celebration, was tainted for the couple.

Since the start of the series, Ghouri has been on the receiving end of public outrage, with some arguing she has an “unfair advantage” as she has danced in the past.
While she has tried to defend herself, it seems the public perception began to get on top of her ahead of last week’s Tango.
Reflecting on how Skorjanec, 34, intervened and managed to pull her out of the concerned state, she went on to tell East: “We had a good chat and we had a heart to heart and he picked me up and said, ‘You do deserve to be here and let’s do this together’.
“I let that noise cloud my head a little bit in rehearsals. Then I thought, ‘You know what? I am here for myself and I am going in with a positive attitude and I will not let it get to me and I will work herder this week.'”
Following their Tango, Ghouri and Skorjanec received largely positive comments from the judges, with another promising score. However, Craig Revel Horwood did find one fault as he remarked: “It lacked a little bit of aggression for me.
“You had attacked but it’s a different side of attack. There is more intent and purpose, I felt, needed in it.”

Ending on a high note, he concluded: “You danced it brilliantly, in fact I’d say absolutely magnificent.”
However, Skorjanec and Ghouri made clear they were ready to return this week with a more positive attitude about their success and the dance ahead of them.
